Dallas Cowboys Host World Cup Games At AT&T Stadium

The Dallas Cowboys will host multiple World Cup games at AT&T Stadium over the next month, and former Cowboys quarterback Ben DiNucci pointed out some big changes to the venue. Ben DiNucci said what everybody was thinking while watching a World Cup game played at AT&T Stadium, questioning where the shadows and glare were. He wrote on social media, 'I'm laughing, Where are the shadows / glare in ATT stadium? When Dak Prescott is looking for Ceedee Lamb on 3rd and goal no one can see 3 yards in front of them but when the World Cup comes to town let's put up curtains!!!' The glare from the sun is a well-known issue at Cowboys games, often creating problems for the team. AT&T Stadium temporarily removed its artificial turf, replacing it with real grass, and added window tinting to the massive glass windows and doors that can create a glare during Cowboys games. Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer joked that it will not be the same experience with the windows tinted, saying 'It's not as majestic,' per The Athletic's Jon Machota. Dallas will host three more Group Stage games on June 22nd, 25th, and 27th. And they will also host two Round of 32 matches on June 30th and July 3rd. So the last two World Cup games at AT&T Stadium will be a Round of 16 match on July 6th and a Semi-Final match on July 14th. The changes to the stadium are notable, with the temporary grass installation and window tinting aiming to improve the experience for World Cup fans. But for Cowboys fans, the changes are a reminder of the issues the team faces with the glare at AT&T Stadium. The stadium's modifications will be in place for the duration of the World Cup games, after which it will revert to its usual configuration for Cowboys games.
